Indian Startup Funding News: During the period of October 5 to October 10, 2026, Indian startups have collectively received $113.35 million through 28 funding rounds, as per the weekly report published by Entrackr on startup funding. The week has seen investments made in sectors including consumer goods, education technology, healthcare, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, and financial services.
These funding rounds consisted of three growth-stage rounds, 22 early-stage rounds and three undisclosed funding rounds. Along with funding, the week has also witnessed eight new appointments, three new funds launched, and two M&A activities.
Despite witnessing a sharp decline in total investment amount compared to last week’s funding, which totalled $411.46 million for 24 startups, various startups have managed to secure a considerable amount of funding for expansion.
Growth-Stage Startups Raise $55.3 Million
Startups at growth stage secured roughly $55.3 million in funding via three transactions over the review period. Among the companies receiving substantial funding were DailyObjects, Beyond Appliances, and NeoGrowth.
1. DailyObjects Secures Rs 332 Crore in Series C Financing
DailyObjects became one of the biggest funding successes of the week when it announced a fundraising of Rs 332 crore, which is about $35 million, in Series C funding. The financing process was headed by Xponentia Capital Partners, Anicut Capital, and Axiom Asia Private Capital.
DailyObjects operates in the consumer lifestyle space, providing products including bags, accessories, and everyday carry goods. The funds will go into expanding the company and further developing its consumer business. The deal also points out the increasing investor interest in consumer brands with the ability to grow both online and offline.
2. Beyond Appliances Secures Rs 110 Crore
Smart kitchen appliances startup Beyond Appliances managed to raise Rs 110 crore, which is about $11.4 million, in its Series B round of funding led by Fireside Ventures.
The company is operating in the market for home appliances, where shifting customer preferences and the growing demand for convenient products are opening up new avenues for speciality brands.
This will be an opportunity for the company to enhance their business activities and pursue the next level of growth. This financing round is a reflection of the investors’ interest in consumer technology and consumer products.
3. NeoGrowth Raises Rs 85 Crore
Digital lender NeoGrowth has managed to raise Rs 85 crore through equity and debt financing from FMO and LeapFrog Investments.
NeoGrowth deals with providing loans to MSMEs. Financing is always an important requirement for small businesses, which helps them manage inventory and cover expenses for operations and expansion.
This is significant for the whole ecosystem of financial inclusion, where specialised lenders provide financing solutions to businesses that might struggle to access conventional loans.
Early-Stage Startups Raise $58.05 Million
Early-stage startups collectively raised approximately $58.05 million across 22 deals during the week. Seed rounds accounted for the largest number of transactions, while technology-focused businesses attracted attention from investors.
1. Quanfluence Raises $10 Million
Photonic quantum technology startup Quanfluence raised $10 million from Chiratae Ventures and Rainmatter. Quantum technology is an emerging field that explores new ways of processing information using principles of quantum physics. Photonic approaches use light-based systems for quantum information processing.
Investment in this area reflects growing interest in advanced computing technologies and their potential applications in research and specialised industries. Quanfluence’s funding places it among the most notable early-stage investment stories of the week.
2. byteXL Raises $9 Million
byteXL, an education tech startup, raised $9 million from Elevar Equity. The firm deals in the education and technology skills market, a field that is linked to the demand for industry-specific training and professional development.
Innovative financing in edtech firms will contribute to developing learning platforms, education programs, and partnerships that seek to promote technical skills.
With the current funding, byteXL will have more resources for pursuing their business goals as well as meeting changing needs in the education field.
3. Sunfox Technologies Raises $7 Million
Medtech startup Sunfox Technologies raised $7 million in a Series A investment led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital, and 3one4 Capital.
Medical technology firms are becoming popular as the industry discovers new diagnostic methods and healthcare services that can be made possible through technology.
Series A financing usually aids in developing the startup beyond its developmental stages. The financing for Sunfox Technologies shows ongoing investor interest in medical technology.
4. QpiAI Secures Rs 50 Crore in Debt Funding
QpiAI, a quantum computing company, secured Rs 50 crore in debt funding from InnoVen Capital. Quantum computing is a new field in technology that aims at solving specific computational problems through quantum systems. Firms in this industry normally require specific expertise and infrastructure to carry out their operations.
Debt funding is funding meant to support the operations of a firm in accordance with its eligibility criteria without necessarily diluting equity like in an equity round. The funding indicates that there are funds available for specialised technology firms.
Some other startups that have been funded this week include Kisah, Zomint, Desible.ai, SuperMush, Gramiyaa, TravClan, MoneyTruVa, and Better Nutrition.
Bengaluru Leads Startup Funding Activity
The most deals occurred in Bengaluru, with ten. The second spot was taken by Delhi-NCR at six deals. Three deals took place in Mumbai. Also, some other cities participated in startup funding they were Hyderabad, Dehradun and Chandigarh. The leadership of Bengaluru is associated with its developed startup ecosystem, which includes technology companies, venture capitalists, incubators and a lot of entrepreneurs and specialists.
Delhi-NCR is one of the leading destinations for startups within sectors such as consumer, fintech and enterprise. The participation of Mumbai proves its importance in the Indian financial and business environment.
The presence of activity in several cities demonstrates that the investments into startups cannot be geographically concentrated. However, the concentration of venture capital and technology talent still influences deal-making.
E-Commerce, AI and HealthTech Lead by Deals
Startups from the e-commerce sector had eight deals and therefore became the leaders according to the number of deals. Startups from the artificial intelligence sector took second place with five deals, and the fourth place was taken by startups from the healthtech sector with four deals.
Others receiving funds were fintech, foodtech, software-as-a-service (SaaS), edtech, and deeptech. The e-commerce deal points to the continued investor interest in consumer companies and brands that have room for improvement in distribution, product development, and customer reach.
AI funding reveals the investor interest in applications that can enhance efficiency and workflow automation in specialised businesses. The healthtech funding shows the continued potential in health-related services and technologies. The volume of transactions does not necessarily equal the total amount of investments in each industry. The individual transactions differ greatly in volume.
Indian Startup Funding News: Seed Rounds Dominate Investment Activity
The most prevalent type in the week was Seed, with 13 investments. There were five investments each in Pre-seed and Series A categories. Series B, Series C, debt investment and pre-Series A each had one investment in the week.
The high frequency of seed investments shows that the investors continued to invest in companies at relatively early stages of growth. These investments could help founders in developing their products, validating their business models, hiring their initial team and gaining a foothold in the market.
It could be important for early-stage founders to get seed investments to build up a company ready for larger institutional investments. However, the availability of capital depends on various aspects such as the business model, market opportunity, financing plan and confidence in investors.
Three New Funds Created
There were also new developments in the investment funds sector in the week. Navya Naveli Nanda started Naveli Ventures, the venture investing division of the Nanda Family Office, in various sectors such as deeptech, artificial intelligence, clean energy, space and healthcare.
NABVENTURES closed a first tranche of Rs 450 crore for their second fund. The development increases the amount of capital that can be deployed using the investment approach adopted by the fund. Also, Recur Club has raised a Rs 500 crore fund that is D2C-focused.
Fresh funds give additional investment capability to invest in eligible startups. However, the true effect will be seen based on the timing of investments, investment criteria, size of commitments and availability of suitable companies to make investments in.
Key Appointments in the Startup Ecosystem
Eight key appointments have been made during the week. Sorry Sugar has appointed Palash Arneja as Founder and CEO, while Google Cloud appointed Amit Kumar as interim India head.
Snabbit has appointed Ramesh Srinivasan as Head of Growth & Revenue; ALTEN India has appointed Prabhakar Atla as CEO, while Eggoz appointed actor Boman Irani as their brand ambassador.
Genefied has promoted Krishna Khandelwal as Chief Sales Officer. Sarvam AI has appointed the former managing director of Google Cloud India, Sashikumar Sreedharan, as President & Chief Business Officer. OTPless appointed Geetanshu Singla as CTO of OTPless. The leadership appointments are critical in helping startups grow and build new products.
Marico Increases Stake in Plix Parent Company
One of the week’s major acquisition developments involved FMCG company Marico and Satiya Nutraceuticals, the parent company of Plix.
Marico acquired an additional 24.09% stake for Rs 1,012.03 crore. The transaction increased its holding in the company and formed part of its broader strategy involving the consumer wellness brand.
The deal highlights continuing interest from established consumer goods companies in expanding their presence through investments and acquisitions involving newer brands.
Strategic transactions can provide startups with access to larger distribution networks, established operational capabilities and additional resources. For acquiring companies, they can offer opportunities to expand product portfolios and enter growing consumer categories.
